Retailers now have the June releases in stock.

Looking at the photos of the fuel tanker on Hattons I felt there was an excessive distance between the cab and the tank, but a check of the many online images shows several exactly like the Oxford model.

I think we forget how much smaller cars were in the 70s, if anything the MG may be over scale

I have checked other Oxford models and they have been to scale with the only exception being the Mercedes ice cream van where the dimensions are all over the place

Probably doesn't help having the (anything but) Mini in the middle. :D

Each year Oxford Diecast publishes a review of the previous calendar year., showing the items released across all scales. The 2017 edition has just been published and illustrates 296 catalogue reference numbers, plus the various Globe magazines, catalogues and reviews published.

The breakdown by scale is:-

1/148    42  (14%)
1/72      21  (7%)
1/76    190 (including 12 sets of 3, 5 or 10 vehicles) (64%)
1/87      12 (4%)
1/18       3  (1%)
1/43     28  (9.5%)

The 1/148 scale analysis is:-

11   Buses, coaches, and bus company vehicles, including 2 sets contaning 5 buses
9    Cars
3    Agricultural
3    Emergency Services
2    Vans
11  Large commercials/HGVs
3    Military

Although Oxford Diecast celebrates its 25th anniversary this year it has really only been very active in the ranges we see today for about 13/14 years. It lists 4520 items in its range, of which 398 are in 1/148 scale. Only 30 of the 1/148 scale items are sold out, the mix of which can be seen in this link.

https://www.oxforddiecast.co.uk/collections/1-148?constraint=out-of-stock

So far in 2018, 21 items have been released to the market in 1/148 scale..
