European Model Railway and other related shows 2017
« on: January 08, 2017, 06:21:00 pm »
Just a thread to notify of upcoming shows in mainland Europe this year.

Fleischmann.de list a number of shows they will be attending this year:

https://www.fleischmann.de/en/news/appointment/index.html

And there is Europe's largest model railway event, EUROSPOOR, which takes place this year in the Jaarbeurs (trade fair centre) in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 3, 4 and 5 November 2017:

Please add others you come across.

www.intermodellbau.de

Big model show based in Dortmund.

8-9 hall show, 2 dedicated to model railways. Loads of layouts and traders.
Rest are RC tanks, trucks, buggys, planes, helicopters, boats.
Loads of displays of all types of static models. The card models are superb.
All the modellers no matter from what discipline are really helpful.
One thing you notice when visiting the show is mid week there's loads of school trips attending. It's a great way of introducing kids to all types of model making.
If you go on there website, click on impressions and there's a gallery of previous shows.

Thanks @Merrylee . Wish I could go, the Photos from 2016 show some wonderful modelling. I particularly liked the layout in a caravan, the Rhaetian Railway items, and the HP42 that my Dad once flew in.

Another year, maybe.

I'm heading over this year again, so will take some pics to whet everyone's
Appetite.
Couple of years ago there was the biggest n gauge layout I had ever seen.
11 car high speed trains travelling through every bit of scenery you could think off. Tunnels, bridges, hills, etc etc.
Must have been some operation to transport , build, dismantle the layout for exhibitions.
