Mine are packed with the rest of my stock ready for the journey down the M5 to Exeter this afternoon. They should get a few miles under their belt over the weekend at the show.

Okay, I give in and will join the throng - I have just got, (and paid), my invoice!  :claphappy: (Sorry if there are still some of you awaiting your invoices).

I must apologise and tell you all that although I have received all my Class B tanks (ESSO, fuel oil, and GM versions), I have been quite busy recently and regrettably some ESSO wagons have not even been out of their packaging to be handled, so I do feel like I have abused the privilege I had of getting my orders early, by not playing trains with all of them.

I do promise that these tank wagons are definitely not for resale though. As said previously, they are works of art.

Received mine today. Was expecting something with a real "wow" factor given Revolution's burgeoning reputation and the comments made by many others and certainly wasn't disappointed. They are incredibly good and even in pristine condition really look the part trundling around my grubby corner of South London.

Thanks very much to Mike & Ben - especially as I think you're not really transition-era modellers.  Presumably having full time jobs, doing a lot of work for the Society and producing the Pendolino wasn't quite doing it for you. Thanks also to Bob G and Scott without whom this wouldn't have happened.

Roll on the Sturgeons and hopefully A Tanks too.  And maybe just a 2EPB given Farish's mystifying disinterest.  If you can get the 321 over the line (and it looks like you will) let's face it - you can do anything!

Thanks again,

Mark

Agreed - Bob G and Scottystitch deserve a huge amount of credit for generating the impetus to get this going.

As most here will know it was a bit touch-and-go for a while, and we weren't sure that transition era modellers, for whatever reason, were ready to sign up to crowdfunding methodology.

However, they did and I am really pleased with both the models, and the response.  We have responded by offering up the Sturgeon (ran almost everywhere, in small cuts and block trains, so surely of use to most) and will open up for orders once the CADs are done, which should be in 6-8 weeks.

Beyond that we also have plans for further transition era offerings, including possibly a powered model.

Cheers

Ben A.

Seconded! I will definitely be pre-ordering at least one 'Sturgeon' suitable for the early 1960s, plus any further suitable 'Transition Era' goods stock. If I can justify a powered model (a WR DMU, Cros-Country or Suburban, would be great), I'd pre-order that, too.

Oh what a tease. Just remember Ben that transition era modellers are generally older than post-privatisation modellers and they might conk out with the stress of anticipation, let alone the stress on their pension :)

I hope that is not true for the majority of us and I'm still working.

40 years and 216 days for me - best decision I made was to retire 2 years early 4 years ago, the time has gone in the blink of an eye and I am a much happier man for it!

My 4 arrived today--well satisfied. Nice to have metal buffers, though these will get weathered in due course. Fitted with long Dapol buckeyes which fit nicely with other 35t Bs or the short coupler end of a Farish TTA.
If only we could have a Yeoman PGA to this standard!
