Hi there,

We are not aware of any issue with the red Class Bs, and I don't know exactly what the issue was.

The remaining Class Bs are expected very soon, but of course we won't have the capacity to begin sending them out until the Pendolinos are delivered.

Cheers

Ben A.

good news, thanks

Apologies if Iím being a nuisance but Iím just wondering how things were progressing with the Esso wagons?
Are they on the water?
Do you have an eta?
Is the invoicing system now working and if so when will invoices be posted?

I think I detect a hint of excited impatience. ;)
To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

I would call it respectful keenness

We haven't tested the fix for the invoicing system yet as we've been rather pre-occupied with sending out Pendolinos but we are not too far away from being able to start testing (and I've already worked out a back up plan if it doesn't work).

Realistically it is probably going to be at least 7-10 days before we make an announcement about what is happening, but we will update our website and here when we are ready.

Cheers, Mike

I'm sure everyone will understand if you and Ben take a well deserved "breather" after sending all those Pendos out!

Regards

Roy

Agreed. I wouldnít want the questions I asked above to be seen as putting pressure on the Revolution guys; I just wondered how things were progressing. I am grateful for all the work they have done and are doing.

The longer they take to get it sorted, the longer my card has to recover from the recent purchases of Maunsell stock... :)

It's not often I do a post of a new model first, but you might like to see the class Bs on my (part assembled) layout.
You know what the ESSO ones look like, so here are the unbranded Fuel Oil tanks, and the UM treacle tarts. Both with locos of the correct period, although the 73 on treacle turn is a bit rule 1.

Apologies for the poor quality but its from a camera phone.
Nevertheless, the backlighting of the fuel oil tanks shows up their underframe detail.

That's a class A. Slightly longer body, bigger capacity, lighter fuel oil.
I dont mean Ronson :)
Black for heavy fuel oil, higher flashpoint. Silver, then grey, for lighter fuel, lower flashpoint.

You mean a molasses spill and thousands of ants.  Now that's a modelling challenge.

What's in the bag?

Two shiny curved brass (or is it nickel silver) logos to replace the dull printed ones, so you can have the proper stand off shields (Regent have these too)
Two three link couplings - rumour has it Revolution are going to make these working on their next model :)
Two Captain Hook hooks - what the heck are these for? They are bigger than a N scale train spotter!

Oh and did I say they have close coupling mechanisms and weigh a scale 35 tonnes each. I am nothing but delighted with them.
They have an almost hand-built quality about them. Take the couplings off and they could have come from a 2mmFS layout no question.
