Hi Mike

Thank you very much for the link.
To be honest, I haven't keep up on MRH forum.
I've been posting there only when I upload a new video.
I certainly appreciate them that put a link to my thread on their newsletter though.
I'm not sure why they did that.  :scowl:
Since when I posted my biosolids facility, I'm not really getting a reply on the forum.  ::)
Maybe I should keep it up a little better there.

By the way Mike, you didn't leave a cart, did you?

Oh no. Over there too?

What Mike? You didn't do it?
Yeah I think you wouldn't do stuff like that.
I know that a member of this forum did iit though.  :hmmm:
Hey, don't leave it there!

Hi Dats, Your shopping carts look great  In the UK I think they are called a trolley, is that correct Andy? Now when we go shopping at ALDI's, it cost us a quarter to rent their shopping cart. If you put your shopping cart back, you get your quarter back. Since I'm a penny pincher, I always put my shopping cart back, so I can get my quarter back. So I don't think those are ALDI carts  :smiley-laughing:

Cheers,
Rich S.

Beaut scenes Dats.

Over here in Oz they're called shopping trolleys also. Abandoned carts are more likely to be thrown into the drain than parked next to it. Our $2 deposit does not stop this happening.

Dats, once again you have come up with details that others seldom think about. Amazing!

 :D

I couldn't tell if any of those were Aldi carts/trolleys. BTW - I always get my quarter back as well.

Hi Rich, hi everyone!

I'm so sorry for not keeping up my thread.
I've been working long hours since April and my family and I decided to relocate to another state.
The house hunting and its process are eating all my time!!
I'm totally exhausted from the paper work!!
And only a halfway done!!  :'(

Well, good news is the house we are looking for has a finished basement.
I'm negotiating the territory of basement with my wife now.
My layout might de-closetnize after moving.
I'm not sure now.
In any case, I have to finish doing all process.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here.
Hopefully I have a good news by the end of July!!

Hi Dats

I too have been wondering lately what you are up to.

I'm worried what's going to happen to the Closet Branch though which is one of my favourite layouts on the NGF. What's going to happen when you have oodles more room? It might do bad things to your mind. I hope not.

I'll bet you're looking forward to being settled again and hopefully that'll happen soon.

Hi Dats, Sorry to hear about the relocation, hopefully for a better job? I understand the long hours, for more years than I care to think about I worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I'm glad those days are long gone, working like that make and old man out of you fast

I'm currently dragging myself. My regular work week is Saturday thru Wednesday with my rest days being Thursday and Friday. Well last week I signed up for Tier 4 EVO class, the downside is classes are always held Monday thru Friday, so I'm currently on my 8th day without a rest day. The class was excellent and the reference material from the class is worth it's weight in gold, but I'm dragging and need a few days off to recharge.  Do keep us posted on how everything is going.

Cheers,
Rich S.

Hi guys

Just a quick update.
I'm still midst of relocation attempt and totally exhausted about the paperwork!!
My family and I can find out if we get a new  house or not in next couple of weeks.
Not mention we still have to go through a process of selling our New York property.
I moved twice since I got married.
But this time, I feel totally burning out. I guess I'm getting old and not easy as before.  :'(

For my layout, I decided to transport it with me.
It'll be a challenge especially the extension part. I made it do fragile so it'll be a potential disaster.

Dismantling the Closet Branch in progress.

Well, good news is my layout is a quite small and module settings so the size is not a problem.
And I can set up quickly and be able to run a train or two in relatively a short time.....if I can move them intact.

I'm fiercely negotiating a train territory with my wife now.
I'll report back to you soon.

Dats

I hope things go well with the relocation - and with the moving of the layout! Keep us informed.

Dats

Good to hear that the Closet Branch will  continue to live.

Best of luck with the move and I hope it's not too traumatic for you and your family

Hi Dats - I relocated from Scotland to Wales last September. The layout got unpacked about Christmas, but a lot of my rolling stock is still packed.

In April we had the painter in so everything went away again; we have some builders in now, so stuff's still packed away. Living at the seaside, we have lots of family and friends due in the next couple of months, so I think it's going to be Autumn before everything's normal again, a year since we moved ... My layout was designed from the start to be put-away-able, but it's only 4'x2' and solid, so I don't need to worry about damage.

I'm currently putting my railway mojo into studying and planning - I have so many ideas from you and other modellers on here, that might one day make it onto the layout.

Good luck with the move!

Mike

Hi Dats, If you don't mind me asking, where are you moving to? Hope all goes well with your move. I hope my moving days are done until I retire, the wife wants to move someplace warmer, I'm OK with that as long has it has A/C and a room for my Long Valley Branch  :bounce:
