Blue Plastic Storage Boxes
« on: November 14, 2015, 10:24:08 pm »
In the past I have bought a number of blue plastic storage boxes, complete with foam inlay, from 'Chev625' via ebay. As I know SWMBO is getting me some rolling stock for our anniversary next week, I thought I might need to buy a new box, (well you never know  ;D). So I looks back to my last purchase, but 'Chev625' has nothing listed  :'(. Is he still in business - how can I contact him if he is - any other suggestions for something similar?  ???. Any help would be appreciated. David.

I have found the ebay page, but there are no items shown for sale and ebay states that the seller is currently away. If I go to the jbsmodelworld webpage, there are no links shown using 'gmail'. If I use 'Firefox', there is a link for an email address, but nothing happens if I click on it  ???

Addit: Just realised - the last 'd' is missing from the email address shown!   I have sent an email to the correct address, so will see what reply I get back - thanks for the info' Bob.

His ebay site says the seller is currently away. His web site just lists his products and there is no option to buy.
Hope he appears soon as I'm running out of stock storage space as well!!

I saw Jon a couple of weeks ago at the Woking Exhibition and he said he was so knackered after TINGS and the schedule of shows he had been attending, that he was going to take a month off to re-charge the batteries.

I am sure when he's back the web site and ebay shop will be back open for business.

For those that buy the great Blue boxes from JB's Model World .....    Did you know you can also buy a handy stack unit for them -   they hold 5 boxes and come with little tags you slide onto the front of the boxes to help you pull them in and out.   Price per stack is from 9.24 plus postage.    When laid on their back they make carrying your boxes easy,  and the racks can be stacked on top of each other too.   I just looked up the blue box manufacturer and ordered direct from their website,  and then spoke to JB and ordered the inserts from him.    You can also order different colour boxes too.

I didn't realise he sold the racks,   will get the next one from him too then.    Not sure when he's in the South again next though.

Check out this model railway event site - it lists most of the suppliers at each event.

Anybody know if these are still kicking around? (Blue storage boxes) Anybody used the retailer recently? Is he still selling these/trading? Know of a new supplier?

Thanks in advance
