Plastic rod etc storage
« on: February 26, 2018, 08:24:16 pm »
Having got rid of an old chest freezer in my 'workroom', I had a 6' space left. I built myself a 'clean' workbench, (for model making etc), and thought of the following for storing strips of plastic rod/copper tube etc. I put a shelf on the side of the workbench and cut some left over 1" white waste pipe into different lengths, then cut the tops at a 45 angle. After a bit of sanding they looked alright. I then glued them to the shelf and I now have handy storage for the plastic etc. (Sorry if this has been mentioned before).

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

And when they're empty you could play them as pan pipes, just like the Patagonians in the Fast Show.....

I use old coffee whitener or sweetener containers, for longer plastic rod or strip I cut the bottom off one and tape it on top of another.
