Sad News Regarding Member - 'trainsdownunder'
« on: May 30, 2015, 09:41:26 pm »
I have today learned that Colin (trainsdownunder) has passed away.  Many of you would have read his regular posts, or even know him personally.  All we know is that he passed away suddenly on Friday 22nd May.

His profile:-

All the best to his family and friends, and I hope he has a good send off.

Had some good little convo's with TDU on here from time to time, especially being around in the wee small hours of the morning when it's mostly me and the Antipodean contingent online.

RIP Colin :(

I am not sure that I knew him but these things are always sad news. My best wishes to those who did, including of course his friends and family.

I had an email from Penny, his wife, informing me of his sudden passing.

I am really stunned by this news as we chatted long before they emigrated to Australia.

He then had months to wait for the container containing his layout before he could get up and running again.

He was full of ideas for gadgets and gizmos that could be added to our layouts and I shall dearly miss being one of his testers.

John.

So sad. Like everyone, condolences to the family and friends, especially Penny.

He helped me a few times in PMs and many a time in general posts.

Don't know what to say, bit shocked.

RIP Colin
