If the Domestic Overlord ever reads this I will deny everything, but I have a couple, well actually 3 older Farish Std 4 tank bodies.

The question is can they be converted into anything useful? and by useful I mean anything from the mighty LMS

Help  :help:

In theory, the std cl 4MTT should have curved tank sides; I'm no expert on the LMS, but I think the tanks were straight sided?

Having said that, I don't think the Farish tank sides are that curved, so you may be able to get around that.

These were the origins of the design, so shouldn't be too different...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCC_Class_WT
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LMS_Fowler_2-6-4T
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LMS_2-Cylindered_Stanier_2-6-4T
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LMS_3-Cylindered_Stanier_2-6-4T

All LMS designs, albeit the first ran in Ireland, not England.

Cheers, NeMo

Thanks I have a folwer 2-6-4t and a Stanier 3 cylinder 2-6-4T and a Fairburn 2-6-4t all cobbled together with brass and white metal.

I have been thinking about a fowler 2-6-2T, now there is a loco you don't see to often (there might be a very good reason for this?

If I used two of the chassis together I could make a Garrett but.....

Bit of a typo there. Shouldn't it be 'flower'?
