You seem to be seeking bids on your model. You've even announced a finishing time for the auction!

I have now removed it, didnt think trying to help some one get the latest DRS 66 would cause such a remark.

There are classified adverts for that. I'm not sure people need a hand getting a current model though. It's just a bit of a slippery slope when people start advertising in the forum pages.

Quite unexpectedly I saw the celebrated BR Blue Large Logo 66 789 last week.  I was returning from a short and thoroughly fab coach holiday in Liverpool when I saw this magnificent beast running light engine, somewhere near Birmingham.  As I wasn't driving, I was able to give it my undivided attention as it ran along and under the motorway.  It was such a refreshing sight after seeing so many drab EWS specimens over the years.  So I have to have one!  Gaugemaster have announced a Dapol 66 in this one-off livery and I am minded to pre-order one.  However, it's not going to fit too well in my hydraulic fleet!

Maybe I should consider a display OO one?  Hattons are promising the same loco in their new tooling!  I think there is a mighty big American model too, but not yet with this livery...

Are you thinking of the Aristocraft G scale 66?  That's been out of production for a few years now, so you won't see any new liveries unless someone repaints one.

It does rather overshadow the N gauge model  :D

Hi ntpntpntp

Yes, that's the very one I was thinking of, thanks.  Now, that's what I call a whopper!   Sad to hear it's out of production.

They hold their value well too, despite not really being of much use Beyond a display model! I looked at getting one a while back, £4-500 seemed to be the going rate.

The Hattons 66 looks promising though, if you just want a display model that’d be my choice.

Oh they're certainly useful! Good powerful haulers. The intermodal wagons Aristocraft also made were perfect for it.  Mind you, the little 0-4-0 gas-mechanical shunter is almost as powerful  :D

Must admit I forgot they did the FIA pairs too. Would love some of those!

Wasn’t commenting so much on haulage capability. My dad keeps threatening to offload some of his spare LGB track to me, would be fatal I fear!
