Another cascade board wired up. This one only took me five hours, but strangely enough still required six cups of tea....

Two of the cascade boards fitted to the rear of the layout.
All now tested and working. A bit of an issue with track alignment over baseboard joints derailing lead bogies, but apart from that they work ok.

Today, I've been operating the layout in Post-War format.

Which outings are on the horizon after Stevenage, @Al. I would like to see the layout in action, but Stevenage is a bit far south.

Yesterday saw a bit more progress on the scenery. The flower garden by the farm house, rail webs painted and ballast weathered, amounts other things.

6 days until Stevenage and I'm happy to say things are looking much better then they were as I prepared for Warley the other year.

Most of the stock is ready and in their boxes. Just the last few to do once the storage trays arrive tomorrow.

On the layout, the final bit of track weathering is almost done. And the temporary scenery had been put down on the area with the tanks will be hiding.

Cheers Jon  :)

Great photo's of a superb layout, great to see the scenery being re-instated after you ripped it out to remodel.

Good luck with the show

Unfortunately not. Once I get the scene finished, the ambulance crew will be recovering a couple of bodies. Thats something I hope to have in place by Peterborough.

5 days to go and the final bit of scenery to get done this side of the show is completed with the final section of ballast weathered and the trees planted on the temporary scenic section.

Tomorrow the track gets a final clean before the board is packed up for moving.
