Has anybody else had issues with their Z21 app on the iPad / iPhone? If I take a photo of a loco it also assigns to a random other loco too. I've updated the app and still happens and its beginning to really annoy me lol.

Cheers
Carl

I've got a strange problem with my z21 (Little z white one)

When reading CV's it reports back random really high numbers, i'm not sure if it's the z21 or the decoders. They are all Lenz Silver Minis. For example read CV3 and it comes back with 15432 as the address. I can write CV's fine, and if i use the MultiMaus its fine, it just seems to be on the ipad

Anyone else seen anything like this or have any ideas.

I got strange CV readings when programming a multiple unit. Turns out it was bad contact. I had to really clean the track and hold the MU down as it was considerably less heavy than the loco I'd programmed previously.

I have read here :-  http://www.z21.co.uk/articles/z21-getting-started.html#YouWillNeed

It says :-

You will need:
•The Z21 system
•A DCC fitted loco – we will use a Bachmann class 40 as a test loco.
•Your pad or phone.

Nothing about a tablet ???

It doesn't have a USB cable, its a LAN cable to connect the Z21 to the Wireless router. You need to diwnload the Z21 app from either the Apple or Android app store, it doesn't support windows tablets.

I have another thread on here which talks in detail about setup of a Black Z21,
'Adventures in DCC with a Z21' take a look at that.

Regards,

John P

I have had to send it back, TO GERMANY.
It has never worked. Fingers crossed I will get a refund, so I can buy another 1 locally. As I still think it is my best choice to opperate my layout, with the disabilities I have.

Did you purchase your z21 in UK? If so, Why is your dealer not replacing it or sorting out the repair for you?

If you're purchasing from Germany, then the local laws apply ( is there an expert here??
