Great! Thanks Ben. Iím totally new to the DCC thing.

I read the booklet about the toy train / O gauge controller that is written in typically humourous ĎRapidoí style. Iím pretty sure that my controller is 12V according to my multimeter.

Looks like I will have some fun with a couple of short Pendos over the weekend.

Itís quite wonderful for the project to come to fruition. I remember posting the Ďthermometerí for the kickstarter. Itís just great to hold the final product and marvel at the detail. Congratulations!

Received my Pendo yesterday. Will not be able to set it up for a while, as the builders are in and everything is covered in dust but...wow!  :beers:

Hoping to get mine today based on the last news update as I paid up missing postage last week. Really looking forward to seeing them.

We've had some confused emails asking where their Pendolinos are as they've seen that we have sent them all out (we never said that!).

We're down to the last 20% to send out (probably less now actually).  I've sent emails to the majority of people that owe us a balance or we have a query about their order/address etc - I think I have 20 people left to contact.

So if you are expecting a Pendolino from us (and haven't received an order complete email - these emails are sent about 5-7 days before you should receive your order so there will still be some Pendolinos being packed/sent out at the moment) then please check your emails (and your spam box). If nothing then please get in touch.

Warranty issues - several large boxes of spares have arrived from Canada and we are sorting through these before we hand them over to Rapido's service agent.  If you have an issue please make sure that you've sent it to the Support email address in the handbook as that makes it quicker and easier for us to send it to the right place. I suspect sometime next week we will be up and running with solving issues.

Missing screws for light bars - I took a load home with me and will start sending them out to people missing them from the first batch of orders.

Cheers, Mike

Mine arrived today... the Parcelforce man looked bemussed when I looked so pleased to see him.

The models are stunning - going to spend some time running them in and checking them properly - first job is to get the website updated, this job is made SOOOO easy by the great Manual included.

Great work guys and well worth the wait.

Informed me that a box had arrived 15 X 11 X 3 inches and was it the thingy thing I had been impatiently pacing up and down for ,lunging at the front window every time a heard a delivery van stop outside.
Well I'm home now and it is.  :thankyousign:
The packaging and presentation is top quality. Well done guys.
Can't wait to give it a spin, which I'll do tomorrow.
Tonight I will just stare at it , stroke it, and crack open a beer and enjoy the moment.
Well worth the wait.  :thankyousign:

Apart from the beer thats exactly what I did when I recieved mine I just opened the lids and put the two boxes on the coffee table while I read the instruction manual which is very well written .
I didnt bother with the D C C part of the manual as that didnt apply to me but it looked very comprehensive .
I just cant get over how well designed the boxes ,the manual and the packing have been presented.
And the model itself runs as well. as it looks ,and I feel sorry for those that have had  problem with theirs but I think Mike and Ben WILL do their best to put the problems right as soon as they can.

Did anybody notice the little gold nugget towards the end of the Rapido UK models newsletter? Very interesting!
Still planning a layout...

Just seen this on the Rapido newsletter,

"All of this means that more Pendolinos are on the way, and sooner rather than later. It's been almost two years since our original planned delivery date so we're currently drawing up plans for a second run. This will include the new (and much requested) "Azuma" scheme. Watch this space!"

looks like those who missed out won't have to wait too long.

cheers
Graham

Even if Rapido opened the order book today we are probably looking at a minimum two year timescale. Time till the order book closes + manufacturing and assembly + distribution. The Rapido newsletter explained that the maufacturing and assembly process for the Revolution Trains Pendolinos was a whole year.

Hello all,

It feels like we are getting close to the end of this marathon packing and posting session!

As Mike said above, two large boxes arrived from Rapido this week containing bags and bags of gears, pantograph heads, glazing, bodyshells, pick ups, bogie towers, worms, motors, gangways, underframes, chassis blocks, etc etc.

I'll be passing them over to Rapido's UK servicing agent this weekend and after he has had a couple of days to get them sorted out we can begin addressing  warranty issues.  This should be towards the middle of next week.

The email addresses you need are in the manual, they are:

For any missing parts: parts@revolutiontrains.com

For damaged models or repairs:  support@revolutiontrains.com.

If you have problems then in the first instance the agent will contact you for some basic fault-finding. This may be via email or a phone call.  It's obviously best for everyone if faults can be rectified without the model being posted around.

If he decides it can only be fixed by him, he'll send a PDF for you to print out - please fill it in.  He apparently has had Rapido APT-Es sent for repair where the person has forgotten to fill in their name or return address!

If the model had problems when it arrived new from us, we will obviously supply parts or fix it.

If you dropped it, bought it second hand, spilled glue on it, let the dog chew it etc then we will still try to help out but there may be a charge.

So far we have had very few issues reported, so it shouldn't take too long to get everyone sorted out!

Cheers

Ben A.
