I didnt order the light bars for my Poppylino and I was wondering if I do order a set will.I need to fit them in all nine coaches or just the six without the table lamps  if you fit them in the three first class will you still be able  to see the lamps .I have asked Ben and Mike if there are spare light bars but at the moment there are none but Rapido said they can supply more if required once all the Pendos are delivered  to all the customers here .
Perhaps Only Me knows if the lamps still show with light bars fitted ?

i may have 3 spare ( I ordered 11!)

For the techies among us (yes you know who you are :)), without light bars the DCC sound version draws 170mA stationary and 300mA moving slowly.  When I fit the light bars I will test again.

That's not bad for a two motor 10 coach train (no room for the 11th).

320mA draw stationary for 11 coaches with lights.

Hi Snowwolflair,

That video of the 10-car Pendo going round a circle and never quite catching its tail is quite hypnotic!

Cheers

Ben A.

Has anyone had problems with Powercar Lighting. The reason I as is that I ordered a pendolino and it arrived ok. Due to the fact I no longer model I have sold it on. I have now been informed that the lighting on the power car does not work. Do any of you have any Idea what maybe wrong. Help urgently needed. I have been told it could be a faulty board or DCC chip. Any thoughts please.

There is no lighting in the power cars only headlights and taillights.  It cannot be fitted either as there is no where to put it.

I saw that in the NGF Facebook page, wait until they have shipped all the others and contact Revolution under warranty on his behalf as you placed the original order.

Ben and Mike have said a few times they will deal with any problems after they finish shipping.

I think they mean Headlights and Tail Lights I will have to check with them.

Hes been in touch with me, its head and tail lights on both cars, odd thing is he cant seem to write values to the chips so he says. certain cv's should have values in them for front and rear lights i believe but they read as Zero which is odd. I believe its a chip issue but rightly he doesnt want to mess about with the settings on an item bought from a third party and at the price he paid i agree with him.. probably best to go back to base for assessment

@Ben A @red_death

A question that may need to be referred to Rapido or legomanbiffo.

The Manual is excellent and is a good read.  I can see only one ambiguity that would help from a clarification.

The section "Incredible Slow Speed Running" is something that is worth doing, and I have done before on other models.

My question is do you do both power cars together, as the text seems to propose, or do you do each power car individually.  Instinctively I would do the two separately.

He has selected F0 I assume. :worried:

Mine arrived today, haven't had much chance to run it in, but it's truly a beautiful model. Very impressed.

I received both my Pendolinos this afternoon; my original order for a DCC sound "101 Squadron" plus light bars, and the recently ordered "City of Birmingham".  Thank you Mike, Ben , Rapido and all involved in bringing this project to such a successful conclusion.
The models (and their packaging) are absolutely superb although it will be a few days before I can begin testing and running-in.

Like others, I will be anxiously awaiting availability of additional light bars and also (hopefully) a DCC sound upgrade for the City of Birmingham.

Just one query; the enclosed limited period discount of 2 for Sturgeons is only "valid until 31-03-2018".  Can I assume that this will be extended to some date after the order book is opened?

Hello John D (and others),

Yes, the Sturgeon flyers were designed when we thought we were getting the Pendolinos in Jan/Feb.

With hindsight it would've made sense to wait before sending the artwork, but I wanted to get it done as I knew that when the models arrived it would be manic - and it has been!

However, we will of course honour the Sturgeon voucher up to a month after we open the order book, which is likely to be some time in late May/early June.

Cheers

Ben A.
