Welcome back Sir. We can all breath sighs of relief that your magnificent work continues.
 :)

Seconded (very strongly!). Somewhere in the very considerable queue, there are several commissions for myself, including an ex-WR 'Mogul', as well as simple renumbering / detailing work.

Pleased to learn you had a good time, Gideon.

No doubt there's a fair number of folk equally pleased your back and back in the fettling shop!

BTW, my T9 hasn't been off the layout since it got here.  :D

The paints and spray booth have been dusted off...

Somewhere under all that masking tape is a GWR railcar in need of white cab roofs...

Ah, there it is!

The wartime LMS Jube is almost done - matt varnishing the cab roof, running plates and smokebox (the varnish is still wet on the smokebox, hence she has a nose like a healthy Labrador...)

Now I love a Mintirix A4, me, but this Mallard has been a pig to fettle! Reluctant electrical connections, wildly sensitive valve gear, shorts all over the place,  :veryangry: :censored:. All sorted now, she'll get a final test run tonight and then it's on to eBay for her. I do like this livery.

Now I grant you, this is not an N Gauge loco. But it is on my workbench... "Boadicea", my first home-made guitar, mid-way through a much-needed stripdown (never, ladies and gentlemen, use enamel lacqueur on top of cellulose paint...)

Stripping off the calligraphic artwork she was once adorned with was heartbreaking, but she will be back to her black and gold rock-tastic-ness very shortly...

Lots more on the go, so more soon! :)

Judging by the shape of boadicea, I'm guessing you ain't playing much folk on her, it certainly looks like she once sported humbuckers!

She did indeed - a brace of Iron Gear Steamhammers! :)

This is what she used to look like - and will do again, but I'll get the lettering right this time!:

BR Apple green and white lining. That's the way to do it...    :)
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!
