US Special forces Helicopter
« on: May 27, 2011, 06:44:17 pm »
Hello Guys,

As an avid fan of N Guage I spotted this new model on the net. It isnt a train or engine but certainly fits in the n scale field. I must say how amazed I was to see this. The Chinese Company 'Dragon' have produced a model of the US special forces helicopter that was used in the raid to 'take out' osama bin laden in this months raid!!!

Here is the link:   http://www.dragon-models.com/html/4628poster.htm

I was shocked that little after the death of the most wanted man in living history, our friends from China have been quick to produce a model in technically n scale...The box art also depicts the scene moments before the swoop on the evil mans lair.

It's a modified Black Hawk - but amazing how fast they've made it like you say.

They're certainly on the ball there - I wonder how many they'll sell?

I would expect that the sales in the USA would out weigh any other plastic kit made for that market this year (and probably next!!)

I would buy one but Dragon have yet to announce the release in the UK and Europe, however their listing of a GBP indicator highlights that this model will be released in the UK soon.

Im just amazed how speedy (within 21 days!) a model depicting this great historical event has been released!!!

I just dont think that a US special forces stealth chopper would be 'in keeping' with my modern image UK layout, I just dont think it would 'fit in' hovering above my EWS owned traction maintenance depot!!!!!!!!

They've certainly spotted a potential sales market for the kit. Dragon also make 1/144 scale tanks. I thought about adding a tank museum to my layout a while ago but have never got around to getting any tanks yet.

Hi Owl729,

Thanks for the link. I saw some of these on Ebay but the prices are quite high. I think this is one time where it will be cheaper to by direct from a shop.
