Now that's a marketing decision, charge you more for not getting a controller and track  ;)

It's like a volume discount: buy more but pay less per item.

These look fab. I do have a soft spot for GF sets recently. No idea why, but they do appeal to me.

The Seaside Excursion one looks like my favourite so far.

so whats going to be special about the jubilee and 47? are they going to be a special livery? is the jubilee going to be a specificly named loco like galatea? more details i think are needed on that one, maybe some pics bachmann :)

I suspect in that case we are talking about a "Silver Jubilee" in LMS black with all the silver trim as it appeared pre-war and a 47 in the Large Logo "Union Jack" BR blue livery.

Thanks for the information - a bit of a disappointment - at least knowing means I will be able to spend my money elsewhere.

dont think i could justify it, if it was an anniversary of graham farish it would mean more to me than it would of it being an anniversary of bachmann

Interesting with all the talk about accuracy that many of these appear to be somewhat inaccurate sets thrown together using similar RTR components. I guess it goes to show that highest detail and accuracy isn't the whole story.

Think I'll build myself the right coaches to run with the LMR set if I get it though. Pity theyve not done the 2-10-0 so they could do Gordon (the very big engine)
now on the Severn Valley.

Nice to see a Voyager train set in there and good value too

A few years too late for me though - if it was in DCC, I might have been tempted, just to try out DCC
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Just seen on the Bachmann website the Silver Anniversary Set is due out in July.
Here's a link.

I also read somewhere that it will be in a silver tin not sure where I read it from though.

Apparently going to be a jubilee and a class 47 twin pack...

I look forward to being able to buy the BR Blue and Grey Mark 1s separately. 8-)

Glad it wasn't just me who was slightly confused about a WWI commemorative set featuring a locomotive built in 1924 ???
