Which is still very odd, given that the wheelbase of a bogie is the same or less than a typical 0-6-0 loco.   Maybe a twist in the track and not enough slack in the bogie pivots?
Definitely not a twist in the track - it will do it on any of the four corners of my running in oval, which is laid on a completely flat board.

I can't find any minimum radius spec for this loco, so I've written to Dapol.

Here’s my latest acquisition... definitely a “Rule 1” purchase but I love Panniers and have happy memories of seeing LT-liveried versions operating on both the South Devon and Paignton & Dartmouth railways last summer!

That's a lovely model. And there is something attractive about the LT livery.

A very good rule 1 purchase!

A couple of new purchases recently.

A nice BR green Class 04 diesel

A 20 Ton BR Bauxite brake van

I have a couple of others still on their way, a BR green class 08, a class 25 which went away for repair in BR green also, and a BR black early crest (invoking Rule 1 a little) 9F
Will post others as they arrive.

From the angle of that front coupling I thought it had Arnold Simplex auto-couplings for a moment  :D

Dapol 9F in early crest br black.

At the Leyland Show today I managed to snaffle an almost new Dapol 57xx pannier tank for £40 (less than the price of a Farish coach :P). It runs OK although with a bit of a limp and somehow Dapol have managed to create an 0-6-0 with a whining engine like nearly all my other Dapol locos. It may possibly quieten with running in but I have my doubts :hmmm:

I wonder if I will be allowed to go, and if there will be any bargains left?

At the Leyland Show today

I do envy some of you back home in the UK. About the only show I get to is the one in Enniskillen, (September). Unless of course I can wangle myself a holiday back home when there is a show on.  ;)

A recent raid on Eilbay has resulted in the capture of these two terrible poor BR locomotives, soon however the chassis of one may find its way into a decent LMS large tank.

Who knows what the other one will end up under, now I wonder if the bodies can be used to create a decent locomotive?

I love the 4mt, one of my favourite classes.
