Seen at TINGS, Osborn are going ahead with their GWR-ransom-rapier-crane.

Must be the year for Ransomes & Rapier products, as Bachmann are bringing out an OO version of one of their steam cranes in 2018 - at a fairly eye-watering price from what I have seen (£240 ish RRP).

Anyone have any more news on when this might be available? Their website hasn't got any updates. Thanks

... and to answer my own question, I've just had a very speedy email reply and it's still hoped to be a June release!

This will beat the NGF Cowans Sheldon crane to the market and, depending on a price comparison, might seriously dent the need for the NGF project!

:( ??? :worried:

Looks rather good.

By any chance, did Osborn's suggest a price for the kit?

{Allied aircraft bomb the bridge}

Mark,

This shouldn't dent the NGF/3DR Crane in any way, as it's a completely different beast. The NGF/3DR one is a Diesel 75Ton Crane and this one is a Ransome & Rapier GWR Steam One.

Cheers

Neal.

Hi guys

One step closer!

Thanks to Steve at Railtec there are some crane decals available. They are not custom designed for this kit so no one knows about how well they fit - but its a big step in the right direction.....

Neal,

If you look at this update from @RussellH (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=1002) in the Crane Thread http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=18191.300 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=18191.300) you'll see that Steve at Railtec has produced some generic Transfers for a Cowans & Sheldon Crane which should be useful for the NGF/3DR kit.

Cheers

Neal (The other one  ;) ;) )
