Highlights definitely the C class in N. I suspect the 8F will he welcomed as well. There is also an upgraded 31 and new Thompson carriages.

New Tooling – Graham Farish (N Scale)

Stanier 8F 2-8-0 (also with 1 version with sound)

No fewer than 852 of these heavy goods locomotives were built between 1935 and 1946. The design proved so successful that it was adopted by the War Department during the Second World War and saw service as far afield as Italy, Turkey, Iran and Israel, as well as with the LNER.

The model will feature a NEXT 18 DCC decoder socket, coreless motor, loco drive, fine cab detail and NEM couplers

372-160 LNER Class O6 (8F) 2-8-0 No. 3506 in LNER Black livery

372-161 LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 8035 in LMS Black livery

C Class (which is sound enabled)

Designed primarily for goods duties, Harry Wainwright's 'C' Class 0-6-0 also proved useful for local passenger and excursion trains. Built by Neilson, Reid & Co., Sharp Stewart and the South Eastern & Chatham Railway's works at Longhedge and Ashford, they proved to be a successful and long-lived class with the last trio surviving in use until 1966. No. 592 is preserved at the Bluebell Railway.

This will be a perfect companion for the SECR 'Birdcage' coaches, also due to be released this year, as well as the many Southern Railway goods wagons in the range.

The model will feature a NEXT 18 DCC decoder socket, coreless motor, loco drive, fine cab detail and NEM couplers

372-775 C Class 0-6-0 No. 271 in SECR plain green livery

Refurbished Class 31

In the mid-1980s, 137 Class 31s were refurbished to extend their working lives. A number received Electric Train Supply (ETS) equipment for passenger work and a few are still in use today with Network Rail and smaller operators.

Highlight for me is definitely the C class in N.

NewbieN

Very pleased to see the Network Rail & DRS class 37's, on my list for sure, as is the Mk2 BSO in NR livery.

Overall a nice varied mix, and hopefully something for everyone!  :)

'372-163DS LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 48773 in BR Black livery with late crest'

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!

A fair few things that take my fancy but the 8F is very very welcome. Shame that they are not offering the C Class in fully lined livery but then I can see that being a BCC model. West Coast 57 and Pullmans will nicely slot in to a railtour rake.

Cheers

Ollie

Interestingly the article states both March and may 2017 for the GWR castle and no maroon Hawksworths.

However happy days overall an 8F maybe but the rest can wait so I can either get on with modelling or use the money on house renovation.

As someone has just pointed out on the Dapol Digest this 371-398 Class 66 No. 66779 'Evening Star' in GBRf livery is also the subject of the Dapol collectors club special due later this year.
:hmmm: :beers:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Thank you, Lord, for the 8F. My prayers have been answered and all I have to do now is stay alive long enough to get my grubby little mitts on one (or more) :worried:
Good to see more Bulleid coaches and the WW1 bolster with sheeted tank load may be of interest to the military modellers.
The Scenecraft quayside walls may help those building harbour side layouts.

njee20

Nope, nothing there whatsoever for me luckily! OO gauge BEP is interesting.

I don't understand how, a year on, the class 70 with the added air intake thingummies can still be in the drawing room! It's the addition of a square of plastic 5x5mm to the body side!

Newportnobby

My prayers have been answered in that we're getting an 8F but the only late crest version has sound
I'm not paying for sound when I dislike it so unless they make a late crest version without sound I'll have to get someone to change the crest for me on the early one. As I'm likely to get more than one a renumbering will have to be done too.
I hate to say this but I'm glad it's Farish doing it rather than Dapol as I wish they had done the 9F.

Chris Morris

Odd that there are no maroon Hawksworths as this is likely to be the best selling livery.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

Sound fitted 8F and Thompsons will do very nicely, the Thompsons a fairly safe bet and the 8F a "no brainer". I can't see prices on the RM Web link - I guess they may not have decided yet!

However a note of pessimism from me, it looks like very little progress on existing projects from the updates so how long will we have to wait for any of these new announcements (OR have they jumped the queue?).

Back on topic, it is hard to believe it has been nearly 9 months since the 319 has announced.
