Is there a way to change the title of a thread please?
I can do it via editing a post but it only seems to change the one post not the whole topic.
I believe you need to change the title in the First Post of the thread to change the title of the whole topic...
Sorry, just saw this. Yes, that should do it. If it doesn't, pm me the details and I'll take a look at it later today I have to go out this morning).

Changing the title of the topic only affects new posts to the thread - only by merging topics ( Mods only) can you change all the headers
I am led to believe by @Only Me (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=1328) the 'Keeper of the Scrolls' changing the first and last titles will not change everything in between. I don't think there is a way of doing this other than altering every title. Of course, changing the last one post in a thread will then ensure continuity with that title.
An odd and confusing way of doing it (as a moderator) is to split the topic, then merge the topics back together again. The forum will confirm if you want to change the name of all of the posts, then it will update all of them with the same name.
Many thanks to everyone who replied.
I have now changed the name of the first and latest replies to Tregonning - Layout in a (largish) case.
That should suffice to retain continuity. I'll keep an eye on it.
