GRAHAM walker  from Test models (Andover) showed me this - add a couple of nuts/ ball, bearings to a paint pot, strap it in, and zap for 30seconds -  result , perfectly mixed paints!

Now a cheaper one from Ebay
£17.99

The innate skinflint in me has a couple of alternatives:

- tape bottle to the washing machine and put it on spin. :D

- or if all your clothes are clean, maybe put it in jogging trousers pocket and go for a ten minute run.

If the latter leads to said jogging trousers becomes paint saturated, refer to the former. ;)

Nice idea, but at £30 I think I'll stick to my trusty paint stirring screwdriver....
  :beers:

Still a tad expensive for me to ditch my trusty screwdriver.

Something cheaper then, borrow an article that vibrates, fix your paint tin to it with a couple of stout rubber bands, switch it on, nicely mixed paint in a few minutes.  ;)

I remember the Robart Paint Shaker being advertised all over the place years ago.  Seems it's still around and available in the US.

Interesting alternative:  attach a small clamp to a jigsaw and hey presto!

I bought one of them milk frothers from ikea years ago, it was only a quid.
And a quick search shows its still only a quid

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tableware/coffee-tea-makers/produkt-milk-frother-black-art-50301166/

chop the stupid springy frother thing off and solder a bit of brass to the end. It spins and therefore stirs.

I like the jigsaw idea best tho because once you stick something into your tiny tinlet of paint, you waste quite alot just wiping it off the end of the stirrer. Not so with the jigsaw method.

Cheers
Kirky

Interesting thread I will certainly buy an ikea milk frother not so sure about the shaker does shake backwards and forwards or just spin round?

Thanks and what has happened to the thank you button?

 :D

Exactly the same here. I have been using a small plastic handled screwdriver to mix modelling paint for many years. Saw a similar one just yesterday in Wilkinson's....at 39p !

Now, if somebody was to come up with a gadget to transfer decals to around 6mm depth of water this could really interest me.
