Paul,
and apologies to Mike for micro hijack. I recalled as 1/152 but if shown as 1/148 even better  and if I have got suppliers mixed up apologies again.

It is just good to see emus coming along so nicely.

Re ends pretty certain BHE has a cast version of the ends - bought some at DEMU this year IIRC - but as above shows that might be in error !  :sorrysign:

Robert

Haha no worries Robert, it is a related topic anyway lol. TBF to you, I'm pretty sure Worsley Works brass sides are to 2mm scale, although they are stunning. My Class 304's and 305's use these. I am happy to accept the slight compromise in height as when stuck on to GF sides it looks like the welded seem from rust repairs on most Mk1's!

I do have a few BHE cast ends and will be using these although they are not as crisp as the TPM ones - absolutely better than nothing though.

Mike

I just wish we could still get Bernard TPM's wonderful EMU ends... I would certainly be adding many more to my fleet if I could.

Hi

Me too though I managed to get the majority of the ones I needed via the NGS shop sale.

I would also like to see Bernard's motorised chassis make a return as it was perfect for powering these EMUs.

Cheers

Hi

BH Enterprises are 2mm (1/152).

Worsley Works will do N (1/148) sides if requested.

Cheers

Paul

Chris (Masterclass Models) does some etches in 1:148 and some in 1:152 - his latest price list details what is available in each scale.

Cheers, Mike

You can use an old style Farish class 158 chassis to provide power. The bogies can be moved in to the next wheelbase location both ends, the drive 'spirals' need shortening, the bogie frames need converting to B4 type and fixed couplings applied. The body can b a standard coach with the bottom cut out and the under-frame modified to fit round the bottom of the 158 chassis. I have a couple of these and they seem capable of handling a twelve coach train.
I will try and put some photos up to show what I mean.

Hi

That's the reason the TPM chassis was so good there was nothing below the solebar to get in the way of the underframe details.

Cheers

Pictures please. I've got to do this sooner or later for a new project.

The good news on the conversions is that Grahame Hedges of the N soc and else where as had published several times his method of conversions- easy read good pics  and as easy to do.  It appeared in the RM a little while ago.

PM if you want a scan, sure the issue is near to hand

I don't have to skills to do this, but well done on the excellent work!

I'd love a 4CEP in Jaffa cake.
