Clever, but the LED looks quite intrusive, and unless you're running an icy winter scene it's a bit excessive IMO. I'll file under expensive gimmick.

Interesting. 

I've seen this done beautifully on a Fleischmann N gauge loco (looked really effective on my layout!),  and I know Viessman does such a kit for HO
