The 21T hopper kit is important: Dapol's version, for a modern production, is very poor - dreadful chassis, wrong style of stanchions (unless you're modelling South Wales) and poorly detailed. The Society's version is far superior (I have a rake of twenty...).

It would also be really nice to have a new version of the 40T bogie ballast hopper (SR D1772, built 1928/29), the discontinued NGSK0040 kit. All the RTR versions (if there's more than one) are of later diagrams that are visually different.

I really like the NGS kits, and having them unavailable, particularly those from the period I model (late 1970s to early 1990s) is frustrating. However, Its great to know that work continues to get them reintroduced and back on sale.

If the feed back from the 'interest boxes' has been good it'll point you and the team in the right direction for what will and won't sell - presumably the 21T hopper wagon (kit 16) isn't worth any effort as we now have the Dapol version.

Hi

Personally I think its better than the Dapol version, however, I probably have all I need.
I'd like to try one, to see whether it has avoided the shortcomings/errors of the Dapol one.
Cheers

Paul

((Somehow I originally managed to include my post within the quote, possibly inadvertently misleading people about what had gone before.

All,

We are having a sort out this weekend (all being well that I can get a village hall!).

We are going to split the kits in to a rough guide of bogied kits versus 4 wheeled kits.

When this has been completed we will be able to start making more kits available.

Cheers Tim

We are still awaiting report from the manufacturer of the bogies as to whether the machine is repaired and to ATM as to whether the coupling tool is repaired.

I'll update as soon as I know more.

At present we have no idea where the master is.  However we are discussing the cost of getting a new master manufactured.

Hi Tim,

I mastered the Salmon cranes; I will email you with details of the casters.

Cheers

Ben A.
