...although the Sparky is missing the detail sprue and should really have a blue background to the side numbers.  Nothing I can't fix :)

Doh!  :dunce: Clearly someone did not even look at the model - let alone the instructions - before applying those number plates...

Ordered a DD51 from Toy Shop Japan Hobbyone via Amazon for 26, they cancelled the order 3 days later stating out of stock (they had 4 at time of ordering), but then re-advertised them at 66+ with the same 4 in stock, now they have 9 in stock at 44.
Have raised the issue with Amazon but no joy yet, my argument is I had an order confirmation so they should honour the order  :censored:

I hope you are successful in your quest for justice Lawrence

cheers John.

Yes indeed. That is very naughty and something Amazon should clamp down on. Good luck!

3 calls to Amazon today, indifferent and uninterested staff, waste of bloody time, clearly not going to do anything about it, furious  :censored:

Perhaps you should start a thread describing all of this, then after you get a few comments from folk agreeing with you, send them an email with the link to the thread  >:D

cheers John.

In my opinion, these are the best-looking of the current Shinkansen fleet.

Funnily enough, I have just obtained one of these, plus the two-car add-on, from Tam Tam in Tokyo.

My reason?

Two and a half hours travelling from Nagano to Tokyo on the right-hand unit of the two.

Also obtained was a Tomytec Tokai bus, which despite being everywhere in the part of Tokyo I was staying, never properly became the subject of a photo.

I've just had a 10 car Series 103 in Chou orange from Keith.  Or rather my mother has, which was expedient from a delivery point of view but means I can't play until next time I see her :(

Received today, a 10 car Kato Series 103 EMU in Chou Line orange livery.  In the foreground is my existing Series 201.
