It might be a cheap kit and it might be 00 Scale but when my grandson is only three you have to encourage modelers of the future. "Grandad, will the sails go round"...... cue opportunity for Grandad to play with Servos.

If so, you'll need either a normal motor or a 360 degree servo!

A Dapol Windmill kit being readied for Grandads loft layout. It now has a modified servo fitted (saves need for another gearbox) and turns nice and slowly. Now awaiting another grandson visit so the model can be completed.

Isn't the Dapol kit the old Airfix one? If I recall from when I was a kid, that was a pretty difficult model to put together!

Never too soon to train them up for the exhibition operating team!

My little-un at 5 was perfectly capable of driving stuff sensibly round the line, just needed a vantage point to see what he was doing
