Hi! Glad to be a member at last! First got into N gauge in the 80s when I asked for a set for Christmas I'd seen in a Wellingborpugh shop. This age 38! I soon "grew" out of this Lima Deltic set, and started learning about realistic layouts via RM. My first layout was "Axtelford and Moor Top". I loved building it and collecting stock, but was distraught when I had to sell it all due to divorce! Since then I have only dabbled. I have started a new collection of stock and materials, awaiting that "boot up" (literally!). I have also started collecting Lone Star products and will be building a small exhibition layout in the "train set" format.

Only just joined, but I've seen the Facebook Group, which led me here.
I've been interested in N gauge since about 1977 off and on. I've not had a layout completed in N; in the early days I had big plans but recently I've been drawn to more simpler layouts.
I've been modelling lately in 009 (building a 4'x2' layout) but now I fancy having another go in N gauge as that layout has made me aware of the possibilities of small simple layouts!
Work-wise, I am employed by Network Rail as a Signaller and will shortly complete 44 years employment on the railways (42 as a Signaller). Working in a PSB for the last 24 years has made me more interested in the simpler side of railway operation!
Learning about the current state of N gauge is almost like being a new entrant to the hobby so I have plenty to learn!

Keith
