Looking Good, sometimes I think that maybe I should model Japanese trains as they seem to have excellent build quality.  what are your postal charges on an item to the UK please?

Thank you for the comment.  International postal charge varies depends on package weight, but normally Japan Post rate is pretty reasonable compared from postal operators in other countries.  If you have certain model interested, please contact me and I can provide shipping rate.

I have just looked at pre-order on Kato 3102 Ge4/4 II loco, but your 'Shipping Estimator' function is not giving me the rate to the UK. Can you tell me what the shipping  cost to the UK of this single item would be please?

I am sorry for the inconvenience.  For the pre-order item, shipping rate is not available as the product weight is not known until the actual product is released and packed for shipment.

But for KATO 3102, if I assume it is same weight with KATO 3101 (Ge4/4 III ALUBLA), here is your option for shipping rate to UK.
Value in GBP is an estimate and vary due to currency rate.
1. EMS/DHL: 2200 Yen or about 15 to 16 GBP
2. ePacket: 1100 Yen or about 8 to 9 GBP
3. Registered SAL: 900 Yen or about 7 or 8 GBP

Hope it helps.
