WD hard drive - Vista compatibility

I plugged it in today, and the laptop told me it was searching for drivers. Unsuccessful, and the new drive didn't show up on the laptop.

I unplugged the drive, and plugged it in again. Success! 1.81 TB free. Had all my photos on it within an hour or so.

I haven't deleted them off my computer yet, though - some of the reviews about this device are pretty scathing! Seems OK to me though.
