That ANE kit does look good, Di. May I ask what the seven segment displays are for, please?

The LED display is used when programming the Master controller board, it unplugs when it's done, so you can plug it in to the next board to programme the next control board so once you have bought the first kit it is a bit cheaper the next time as you don't need the programmer.

Today I have fitted the first point, having drilled the required hole for the operating pin of the servo, and the holes for the droppers. I have also cut the first cassette to length from Ally 25mm channel.

Another busy afternoon this time doing the DCC power bus, all lines now connected, next the ANE point control system. This is remarkably tidy by my usual standards  :) .

Yeap for the power supply a feed to each section of track, but there is a lot more to come for the servo control and the frog switching, also there will be a lighting bus latter. :)

I knocked up this control panel for use with the ANE servo control system (on Freshbrook) this morning, using the switches that come with the ANE kit and some 5mm green LEDs I had in the come in handy box.

Todays effort has seen the control panel installed(so everything fits into my desired 4X1X1 ft volume) and the cassette locating blocks fitted so the cassttes can just be dropped in to place with no fuss.

This morning,I started on the ANE servo kit,I have assembled the servo mounts and operating arms,it is a simple task of fitting the servo into the metal mount and locking in place with the supplied machine screw and nut, then bending a "J" hook on the end of the operating wire and fitting it to the servo arm and then fitting the wire thru the mount and the arm to the servo.

I have now fitted the first of the servo units using the screws provided by ANE, but the template supplied for the mounting is not correct for the mounts supplied, a quick modifcation for the securing screw positions is required. The over-center spring in the peco point also needs to be removed to allow slow movement

To-day I have fitted the other 3 servos and the 5 circuit boards for control and frog switching using the screws and support posts supplied by ANE as part of the Kit, the next thing is to connect it all up with electric string.

Minor Hic-up with wiring I have found the wiring diagram supplied in the handbook :censored: is for a older version of the boards, I have found a updated version online  :) on the ANE site so I will make some more progress tommorrow. Who said DCC only 2 wires  I have installed around 50 with about the same again to go and all this for a 4'X1' 4 point layout.
