That is a pretty sweet deal, the seller won't be making much on that after paypal & ebay take their slice.

Was thinking about your subterfuge and whether you are concerned that the DO tracks you on the forum under a pseudonym ... but maybe you did what I did when she found out I post all the details of my purchases on a forum, when she asked which one, I had a dyslexic moment and said to her I model in O gauge....     well I was near enough and was only one letter out  :-X

I hit the jack-pot when I found the Domestic Overlord (I am typing this through my own will  :help:).

When we are in model shops I am always encouraged to buy something, to which I usually decline saying something like "they don't have anything I need" or  "I have enough trains already".

When I have been caught looking at O gauge models I have even been asked if I want to start modelling in that scale.............................I SMELL A TRAP

My wife goes to the market on Thursdays and always comes back with more clothes, but at bargain prices. even so when she grumbles about another package arriving for me, I merely mention her regular Thursday outings, never mind the charity shops!
I reckon you have a good deal going there, trap maybe but you know you will get something out of it!

Regards,

Alex

Well I'm back from a fantastic week away with the Domestic Overlord in Cornwall.

I even managed to make an addition to the collection, but more about that later.

I might even get down to some modelling this weekend.

I WANT TO GO BACK TO CORNWALL  :'(

I'm banning myself from any more purchases, I think I have just got another Jubilee for the collection.

Was it per-chance a rather cheap late crest FleaBay Jubilee?

I've got a couple going spare from a recent  Ebay foray and a Poole black Duchess plus a couple of working Jub tenders.trying to decide if I want to use the Jub chassis under BHE N15 kits or hack them into Nelsons in either case there would be more spare tenders. Only minor niggles on the Jubs, the wire in one of the tender drawbars  has lost its springiness and the numbers need redoing on one of the cabs.
Cheers MIKE

Well it's been quite a productive weekend, I have actually managed to do a little bit of modelling.

A more detailed update will follow (I can hear the groans from here), but as I currently cooking dinner I will just put a brief progress report here.

1. The bogie bolster wagons from my latest Landship pack have been repainted into LMS grey, had bolsters fitted and I have made girders ready for them to carry.

2. The 4F is ready to have LMS applied and her number added, I have another 4F waiting the same treatment.

3. The Black 5 with I'm working on with the self weighing tender is ready to have her number applied. I still need to finish the tender.

4. The bargain ebay suburban rake has had their roofs painting etc so are nearly ready to enter the fleet.

So that looks like some progress to me....
