Have had Sanchem nooxid for over one and a half years on my test track.
Have not needed to clean the track in this time except once did a quick wipe over with a dry tissue to remove accumulated black muck.  Probably due for a reapplication.
As the track is horizontal don't know about loss of traction.
Will be using on my layout in place of light oil once I get it back in action.
To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

If applied correctly No ox is extremely effective on track. It's simply a case of wiping it on and wiping it off almost!
As for bullfrog snot an engine of mine would pull 16 wagons up the gradients on my layout and no more , after I applied snot to the engine I added wagons to the consist every lap of the layout untill the wagons cloths lined on uphill curves.
I ended up with 38 wagons being pulled [I am not exaggerating ] Snot really is good stuff.
James.

 General caution

I used a liquid cleaner on my track, then ran a steam loco.
Disaster: the traction tire on my Dapol 28xx loco swelled up and came off.
Not much fun replacing the tire, so I stick with the Peco cleaning block.

The cleaning fluid is "citrus" based, only available from a hobby shop which has since closed.
 Sorry I'm not more helpful.

I would say most of our posting members use the spirit IPA to clean track as, once wiped over the track, it evaporates within a few minutes and it leaves no greasy residue. I have several locos with traction tyres but don't run anything for about 10 minutes after using the IPA.
