As a result of good responses from the Collector Club I have rejoined. The membership pack containing my card, order form and latest newsletter arrived the next day. I have had three or four email exchanges with Neal Morrlle the Marketing Manager with a lot of positive news regarding where Dapol are going to. Andrea the new lady fronting the Collector Club is very helpful and responds very quickly to any emails I have sent, this is a huge improvement to my last experiences with them. Very helpful and I feel I have spent £25 wisely. I have booked my place at the Open Day on October 1st and as it is the first time I have been to Chirk I am looking forward to the experience and meeting both the people at Dapol and anyone else from here? Are any of you guys going?
Another house move despite "never again" has given me a second floor layout so Geominster Mainline & Heritage Line will be modified and enlarged with siding storage.

My Facebook Diary is Geominster if anyone wants to view it please ask, it is a private group requiring acceptance, thanks.

This then is my third version modified which has been improved from previous efforts and lessons learned.

Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled. Having learnt so much from  previous Geominster projects this is the latest one.

Sadly not George as, providing no impediments present themselves, I will be at the Wigan Show and the Saturday just happens to be my birthday :claphappy:
I'm glad your experiences with Dapol have improved.

By our age Mick birthdays are just other days, I think with your Celebrity status you should come to Dapol, could be that we could all do with a dose of your wit.

Definitely attending. My UK trip revolves around TINGS at the start and the Dapol open day at the end.  Interspersed with real ale and steam trains sometimes at the same time  :)

Well, from reading all the comments on here. Looks like the Dapol Club isn't worth joining? Or has it improved in recent months to worth while now?

Cheers,

Jon
I haven't considered rejoining after my bad experiences - don't know if its any better now.
:beers:
How strange... I've just had an email from Andrea who apparently is the new coordinator for the Dapol collectors club, asking if I would like to renew my membership. I wonder if they're finally trying to get the club sorted out?
Anyone have any news / views on this?
:beers:

I had an email from Andrea asking if I would like to rejoin. I replied that I was a member. Over the years I have had two membership numbers. When I pointed this out Andrea said she had updated her records and sold me some club mega frets. Happy customer means sales!

I'm hoping to arrive at the Wigan Show with vouchers provided by the family, George ;)
I also believe Dapol's opinion of me merely rhymes with wit :(

Well on the first I hope you have been dropping hints and the second I can only think of one word - fit, that's it they think you are fit.  :dunce:

Nice try, George, but when I first met Dave Jones at TINGS some 5-6 years ago I introduced myself as being from the NGF and his reply was "Oh yes - you lot don't like us, do you?"
Luckily Dave and I have a much better understanding of each other now.

Decided to rejoin Dapol collectors club after receiving great email from Neil the Marketing Manager explaining recent changes to the club and some plans for the future.
I really hope it works out ok this time.
:hmmm: :beers:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.
