Make sure you take a few krone with you as it is expensive over there. I've been working in Oslo on and off for 5 years and the exchange rate is poor at the moment.  A single beer and a curry cost about £35 with no extras. They are great people and it's a great place as well. Hope it is a great gig.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

If its the Bergen festival then Bergen had an extremely good curry house when I was there as well as a cracking authentic Irish pub (not a plastic paddy pub but a 'four beers and barman turning up the music so he could chat up the women without being overheard' kind of pub.

The cliff railway is also fun, and the trip out via Fflam and then up the Fjord.

Sounds great Alan. Yes, it is the festival we are going to. I have been to Oslo a few times with my bands, but never Bergen.
