Not my thing in the slightest, but very nice work there.

Sometimes you bite the dog...

...sometimes the dog bites you!

I can explain it to you...

...but I can't understand it for you.

Looks better than the Knightwing model I have yet to build. What bogies did you use under it please, Mark? I have a load of old Lima and Minitrix coaches and was pondering using some of those :hmmm:

Jerry Howlett

 :thumbsup:Smashing model Mark. Looks like Gresley Bogies under there.

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

My brake tender running on Hawthorn Dene.  White Metal one with the bogies replaced by N Gauge Society plastic ones with Farish coach wheels.  A bit o fa swine to get onto the track but once done will run all day without a problem unless derailed by something else (hand of dog, tailending the train in front too fast, train coming other way knocking it off.....)

The weight helps it to stay on the track, an advantage of it being a lump of white metal.  Class 27 in County Durham?  Yes because ten were allocated new to 51L Thornaby.

Hi Mick,
The bogies and wheels all come as part of the 3d print... the whole thing comes from Shapeways apart from the paint and decals. All I added was a bit of wire to keep each bogie in place. If you want it to run well, you could compare the bogies it comes with and choose the nearest coach bogies. And add some weight to the bodyshell.
Mine will probably sit in the sidings with an old 08 shunter.

Thanks for that, Mark. I've highlighted a bit that suggests yours doesn't run well, or are the brake tender and 08 just for static purposes? Can you post a link to the source of decals as well please?
:thankyousign:

Mine will be static. I haven't tried running it, but I very much doubt the 3D printed axle ends will roll smoothly or last very long.
