I was given a copy of the May 1969 "Model Railway Constructor" and it includes a product review of an N gauge Great Western Prairie tank by "Jamie Micro Traction", not a name I have heard before.  Bear in mind that this was two years before Farish released their Pannier tank, and I think about a year before the first British outline N gauge models from Minitrix.  The loco actually looks like a pretty tidy effort with an accurate moulded nylon body and reasonably fine wheels and motion. According to the review the loco could not be test run as it was the first one off the production line and did not have the correct motor.

So, did they make any more, and have any survived?  It must have cost a few quid to get the project this far, tooling for the injection moulded body will not have been cheap.  Very early N gauge fascinates me, I have one of the first Farish Panniers tucked away in a drawer, so I would love to know what happened to this short-lived attempt at British N gauge.

I see it was mentioned by Captain Electra in a post on here back in 2013, when you and others were reminiscing about early N.

Can you scan the article?  I'd not heard of it before. I also enjoy learning about the early history of N gauge.

Not a name I've ever heard I must say, but well before my time, in every sense of the word!

I'm getting old, and my memory is not what it was. At least I think my memory used to be better, but I can't remember for certain how good it was.
