Movement!
« Reply #17 on: August 09, 2017, 11:10:55 am »
Hello All, Alas progress has been slow but we have had movement! I've been away in snowdonia for most of the summer and am about to raid the model shops of southern Germany but before then I'll share some pictures!

First up we have the repainted farish 90, the last TSOE has finally been 'modified' to look more like the real thing.

Secondly without a doubt my favourite N Gauge DMUs, the Dapol Sprinters. They're perfect and waiting for interior lights!

And finally here is the video of the first movement over the bridge (:

And a typically drab 221:

I've stocked up on modernisation equipment for the bridge but it is yet to transform from the fourties to the noughties. I hope everyone is having a good summer! I'm still waiting on the Dapol GNER hst!

 :hellosign:
It's been a while!
The "layout" has been sitting on my bedside cabinet next to the decanters to showcase stock but the Conference Room of the home office isn't being used this week so I hauled the layout over and began seriously advancing the wistful thoughts into moving track around on a board, having pretty much decided I want a station for the DMUs and Voyagers to stop but the 225s to roar through! I was inspired by a recent trip to Durham with regards to the curved point after the bridge but am still undecided on whether to add a freight loop next to the single line in the back. I very much enjoy the understated trackwork of the model so far and do not want to overdo it with a TMD! any thoughts are welcome  :D

First of all here are some pictures of the layout in its case!

And now for the "developments"  :smiley-laughing:

Philip

Hi Philip,

Welcome back. Great to see progress being made on expanding the lovely bridge/marina.

Haven't got any thoughts at the mo except perhaps that you want to give up and sell it to me  :D

Looking forward to more of your progress.

Cheers weave  :beers:

 Hello Weave,
I’ve just been running stock all week, I doubt i’llpart with her now that she’s being absorbed by the larger layout! I’ll try to sort out baseboards this weekend!
Regards, Philip
