Title: Feeling lonely? Get a shed.

Lots of folks on the forum could suggest what to put in there but probably not the sort of model you were thinking of

I certainly wouldn't be without my shed.  It gives me a sanctuary from everyday life!

I've got a shed a 20 ft X 8 ft layout and I'm still lonely ,it's not so much fun being on your own even with my layout I would like someone in the High  Wycombe area to share it with me. My wife Val says she is willing to keep the sandwiches going and I can make the coffee.

I'd love a shed, but like the  patio  doors ,im not allowed . Think its something to do with living in a third floor flat that causes the objections

I do have a shed,
SWMBO  started moving in before it was finished.
She has one end where there track curves round as an art studio.
I have the other end where the track curves round as the model railway workshop area.
Between are the two main station  areas and the tea bar.
In the fridge there is a case of cider.
We share the shed, but in our relevant chairs we are 40ft apart.
There is no room for an N gauge layout,  this shed is for the EM gauge layout.
I have been allocated space by SWMBO in another shed for the N gauge but that's only big enough for storage.
This is why Tiree is being rebuilt at the MRC.

The shed is 63ft long and varies between 16 and 12 ft wide.

Were the builders drunk?  ???

The builder is me,  many cans of cider were consumed during construction,  however it was planned.  The shed is on a wedge shaped bit of land behind the mobile home,, the planned layout,  is a junction with most of the sidings between the main and branch lines.

Hence I chose to build the shed in a very strange shape.

of course when I was at school there were woodworking  and metalworking clubs that used school facilities  after school time.  these were stopped by councils often because they were  perceived to be too male and too white.

All these shed clubs are a reforming of such clubs,  but now perceived to be a social need.

Thanks, Allan. It rang a bell but, being almost 2 years ago, my brain cell just got a reminder when I saw the Yahoo article :-[

I live for my shed!
My wife doesn't share the same excitement as I do sadly.
Home to all my toys.
