hi everyone

i only have daywat oil and some other very light oil which i use for my n gauge locos.

can i use the same oil on ho scale trains?  on any gears / worms that have dried out?

most of my new ho trains are fine as they came factory lubricated but a few second hand ones i got on ebay need oiling.  (they are jouef, roco and piko)

cheers

Yes, the Daywat will be fine for where you need oil.

For greasing gears and worms I use Labelle 106 PTFE grease rather than oil.

I'd say the Gaugemaster GM619 I use is multiscale. Handy as it has a needle applicator.
