Hi,

This might be the wrong place so apologies and mods please move accordingly.

Will try to be brief but find that difficult  :) and am also a computer numpty.

Have taken photos of the new layout on my wife's phone. They won't upload to my computer (although it has worked before) but she managed with difficulty to upload to her computer. She's then e mailed the photos.

So now, are there any tips for how to upload from my email to the Forum?

Cheers weave  :beers:

If they are saved on a computer they can be uploaded onto the forum.  Even if they're on your phone you could get them on here.

So, if they're in your email, save them to your device, then upload to your folder or post.

Hi,

Thank you Didn't explain it properly.

My phone is ancient so not in the equation. We have 2 computers though.

In past took photos with wife's phone, uploaded to my computer pic file then onto the forum. No problem.

Recently it wouldn't do this for some reason but she managed to upload them onto her computer and then emailed them to my computer.

So are there any tips on how to upload the ohotos from my computer email to either my computer pic file or even straight to the forum.

As I said I am the computer numpty. My wife isn't and can probably work it out but she's not always here and her computer is only really for her work.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers weave.

First save the photo in the email into a suitable folder on your computer  (eg. "My Pictures" if it's a Windows machine.  Difficult to give exact instructions without knowing which email software you're using, and also depends whether the email software is treating the photo as an attachment or an inline image?

Then use the usual "Add image to post and upload to gallery" method to upload the photo to the forum and attach to a post.

Open the email on your computer. Download each picture file, and save to the picture folder on your computer. You can then upload to the forum gallery.

Also a computer numpty.

Open the photo in your e mail and right click on it. You should see 'save image as.....' and that's where you can save it to your computer.

Thanks guys,

Will give it go. When it comes to computers I'm a Humpty Numpty! Not really this bad but if was asking advice on running a locomotive I would need 1. Take out off box, 2. put on track, 3 IMPORTANT - make sure wheels are aligned, you can use a re railer for this etc etc.  :) .

Cheers weave  :beers:

PS. Think I'm Windows 7 so 'My pictures' rings a bell. So sorry for being a  :dunce:

I can lay patios if anyone's interested  ;)

this should work and ISTR that My Pictures is the default.

then upload from that folder
