A rather fantastic Dapol Mk3 HST Buffet car in First Great Western livery arrived today. :bounce:

The bad news is it is near to impossible to find the HST set that goes with it anymore  :veryangry:

He felt his presents

NGF wagon arrived in Oz safe and sound! Great packaging by NPN, and what a neat writer!
Here it is on Troutbeck bridge held at a red light, accompanied by it's unmarked Dapol cousin - more of that anon....

On the Castle Eden branch, having picked up a Peco guards van somewhere along the way..

And passing by Phillip Ross & Sons' timber yard.

Interestingly (perhaps not), that Dapol hopper at the back cost me A$45 at a model shop just outside of Hobart, Tasmania, whereas the customised NGF one only cost A$32, including postage from England!  :worried:

Friends, I am slowly making up a booze train that will have wagons from around the world.

Therefore this one:  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161048220579?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

And this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350793001940?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Then I thought that with all the alcohol I might have an accident so the next purchase was:

Can I offer up a suggestion before you hand me my coat?

This is a good and interesting topic,  :greatpicturessign: but it's getting rather long.  Could it be broken down, say into monthly instalments?  Then I don't have to trowel through 44 pages to find the last entry I read.  Please?

John
Now, that coat . . .
