why is everyone mean to me, I don't have many trains :( if only I had some  :'( :'( Nobody cares  :'(

There's no flamin' pleasing some people...

...did I not point you in the direction of some cheap 5's? Is it not possible to pick up Duchess' for under 90? Can you not still get Jubilees for 79?

You need to put your big boy pants on and spend your pocket money.

(Good boy my  :moony:)

I'm not allowed pocket money the Domestic Overlord only allows me 50p a week, and if I don't spend it all by Sunday its taken off me :(

There is another Peco Jube nearing the Despair Depot workbench... it may yet be crimson...

Off topic, but... to my shame, I don't know the name of the gentleman I spoke to on the phone at Union Mills this morning. Friendly, helpful, engaging, knowledgeable, honest, charming, a total joy to speak with - all for an order worth a tenner. Customer service departments of the world take note - this is how it's done. Thank you, UM, I will be back for more! :)

Thanks for that, Gideon. I still have to order my two T9s (one BR Black late Crest, one Southern Railway green) and a '700' Class 'Black Motor' (BR Black Late Crest) for you to work your detailing magic on as I keep finding bargain locos. on my list to buy!

Probably Colin Heard. I think Union Mills is 'just' a man and a boy

And finally the Despair Depot re-opens its creaky doors, dusts off its airbrush, fills its decalling bowl and gets back to it...

Work, (seemingly interminable) illness and things general have kept me away from locos for a bit, but I am back and my workbench overfloweth! Always a good state of affairs...

Couple of the many things on the go...

Arthur gets some cabside lining:

The paint room goes all green...

Many, many more things on the go which I didn't get a chance to photograph, but there will be more soon!

Heartily seconded here! Mind you, the start of autumn is never a good time for feeling enthusiastic about much at all.

Workbench time may be limited and the pace of progress frustratingly glacial, but stuff is being done..!

Paint and lining department:

The Fox "2 stage" lining for Jubes is brilliant, but fiendish to get straight and even... Pleased with this crimson tender so far, though:

Off to the left of the workbench is the "er, right, I've bought this, I really need to do something with it now" collection...:

Many more are ongoing - pics to follow!

That Jubilee in crimson is starting to come together, it looks fiddly. I hope whoever asked you to do that is feeling suitably guilty!

 ;D

Is that the same pile of miscellaneous locos that appeared on EBay in the "who in their right mind is gonna buy that" section?

I'm sure you'll do it all proud.

Nice to see your progress.

Definitely!! That said, I've got all of them working! Some will be sold because I spent COUGHfar too muchCOUGH on them and need to recoup... I love the big ROWA 2-8-8-2 so I'm keeping that - trying to fabricate some replacement valve gear for it!

More on that Jube soon... :)

There was some debate about that lot on here, as you can imagine, I thought it had your name written all over it.

Sounds like the gamble paid off if they're all runners. Good luck to you on that score.

Looking forward to the next Jubilee updates.
