Pictures of Club Layout Rugby Central - over 10 years in the making..

This weekend the layout was moved to my office/modelling room. This has made it a little easier to photograph than in it's previous location.

Based on a real location on the Waverley Route, inevitably it has been necessary on a layout measuring only 7ft x 2ft to have some compromises, but from all the pictorial evidence I have and have seen it captures the atmosphere of the location. It really is a sparse and desolate place, only the box, a couple or railway workers' cottages and a nearby road…

This layout was built very quickly with the target of exhibiting at a local charity show (I never learn!). It is totally portable (Fold up legs under) and measures about 3ft by just over 2ft.

Based omewhere in North Eastern territory, Fineton is a small station on a rural branchline with a small goods yard. One day the quarry will be rail served in the meantime there is just a gap in the fencing by Headshunt pending this.

Here are a few pics of my micro- layout Canoobie.

This layout in it's entirety is less than four feet long and only six inches wide. It represents a small fictitious Branch line terminus somewhere in the Scottish Borders which has survived almost untouched into the 1960s, just long enough to host the first Diesels of the modernisation era alongside steam.
