Western Steam Days Remembered, By Kevin Derrick

Book Review: I think this is fairly new - published by  Amberley Publishing of Stroud this year. It's a wonderful collection of colour photographs of the late 1950s to early 1960s featuring steam locomotives from the Western Region. The photographs are wonderful - some lovely reference material in the book. It covers many different aspects of the WR, even including some interlopers, such as A4 Sir Nigel Gresley on the Paddington Streamliner Railtour of October 1965.

There are some fantastic photos for use as reference for weathering locos for those so included and at GBP 14.99 (from Foyles of London) it definitely merits a place on any WR enthusiast's bookshelf!
