Aah, forgot about that bit,

Being a joiner by trade, I spent a good many years in a joiners shop cleaning hardwood bar tops up, the grain was very wild and twisted in all directions and no matter how much it was sanded it always came up rough, so a scraper was used to great effect, continuing this theme, I used my trusty modelling knife with a not so sharp blade, held at just less than 90 degrees vertical from the surface, then with gentle pressure the rough surface was scraped away, leaving me with a lovely smooth surface, It took about 30 minutes to do the roof and about an hour to scrape the body clean, over all I am very pleased with the results.

Had a brief search on tinternet and Brasso has been used by some people. Simple as that, it seems, just use normal Brassoing techniques and a lovely smooth finish will result. Other metal polishes can also be used apparently.

Does the etched under frame detail come with the 3d printed body or is that a separately available item? If so from whom please.

If you purchase from Alan at Etched Pixels he will supply the etch.

I ordered my railbus including underframe from Etched Pixels as it was his creation. I guess he is the sole supplier of the underframe.  Looking at his posts it seems the business will be up and running in the next few months.

Finally got the etched under frame last week so things have progressed, under frame fitted, then made up the buffers, side steps and what I presume are air tanks front and back.

Still quite a bit to do yet, but slowly getting there.

Excellent job on the underframe.   Luckily for me my effort lives in a dark room.
