The exploded diagram (showing a coupling part at the driving cab end) reminds me that I must pursue what I have wanted to do for ages - namely to put a coupling into the cab end of the Dt so that I can run it with Roco / Fleischmann single deck coaches and F'mann single deck driving trailer added.

Research done, with a fair bit of assistance, thanks folks.
And after a chat with Neil at Scograil, a package will be arriving this week. 😁😁

Meaning they can be converted presumably? Even if you have to hard wire it I’m sure it wouldn’t be that hard.

Thats me now the delighted owner of a DCC Sound Re460 + 6 coaches incl Driving Trailer.  :bounce: I was a pleasure to deal with Neil at Scograil.
I'll extend to 8 when the card has recovered,

The DT lights are always on white and red regardless of direction so that will be a project for a later date with a Fn decoder.

£ for £ this stuff really is the mutts! what amazing detail.

They are good, aren't they Mark.  Great early Christmas present to yourself. :D Enjoy.

Neil at Scograil is one of the good sellers. Glad he was able to do you a good deal.

Good to see that you have obtained your Dostos Mark.
Please let us know how you get on with the decoder installation. I'm a newbie when it comes to DCC and would like to fit one to my Bt.
I'm surprised that Hobbytrain haven't made the latest issue of their Dostos more DCC friendly

IIRC there were a couple of sites requiring translation that might show how it's done, I'm useless DCC wise, so it will have to be easy

Shouldn’t be overly difficult. You’ll need one wire onto the red LED, one onto the white, a common return for them both, and one wire to each of the two pickups.

DZ126 or something will do fine without costing the earth.

I found a you tube video from N-Modellbahn.de showing the conversion done, but there isn't a tutorial on their blog. I've sent them a message.

I thought that I had seen mention of installing a decoder in the Hobbytrain Bt several years ago when they were first introduced.
I am assuming that it was on the Swiss N-Scale forum that I visit but so far my searches have drawn a blank.

Reply from N-Modellbahn.de

"There is D&H DHF250 function decoder inside, you can see it here
http://n-modellbahn.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/DSC05801.jpg
the dimensions are 21,5 x 7,3 x 2,1 mm and I think this is large for this model, but possible. But a smaller one should be a better option. Please be carefull by opening the case, it is tricky and the clips are easy to damage"
