Hi Guys,

My Favorite Train Related film of all time is 'Von Ryan's Express' staring Frank Sinatra.

Im also gonna watch the new(ish) Denzel Washington film called 'Unstoppable' tonight. Got the DVD from the video shop. I will let you all know later if it's any good. Apparently it's about a run away train with a cargo of highly toxic chemicals thats heading for a major US city!! :o :o

Let me see..............John Frankenheimer's 'The Train' is quite amazing, and 'The First Great Train Robbery', 1978, has some great scenes.

Oh Mr Porter has a fantastic charm to it, too; but I also highly rate the films noted above.

The Great Escape has some good railway episodes, and it's fun spotting the continuity errors in 'The Cassandra Crossing'!!!!!

I like the opening sequence in Murder on The Orient Express. The music set to the starting of the train is spot on.

My favourite train film though is The Titfield Thunderbolt. Classic bit of Ealing Comedy :)

I have to admit a fondness for the old Childrens Film Foundation movie 'Runaway Railway'. Ronnie Barker, Jon Pertwee...
