David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

I wonder if I will be allowed to go, and if there will be any bargains left?

At the Leyland Show today

I do envy some of you back home in the UK. About the only show I get to is the one in Enniskillen, (September). Unless of course I can wangle myself a holiday back home when there is a show on.  ;)

A recent raid on Eilbay has resulted in the capture of these two terrible poor BR locomotives, soon however the chassis of one may find its way into a decent LMS large tank.

Who knows what the other one will end up under, now I wonder if the bodies can be used to create a decent locomotive?

Can't tell from the photo but are they ivats or 3/4mt?

I love the 4mt, one of my favourite classes.

Here's my latest purchase (a 50th birthday present to myself). This was the first 'Scottish' 37 I ever saw, ironically at my home station (Rayleigh) on PW duties :confused1:, possibly just after it had transferred south, I was just embarking on my first trip to Scotland.....

There's a bit about the purchase in the Shops-Online sub-forum regarding some excellent service from TMC

If it moves and shouldn't, duct tape. It it doesn't move and should, WD40...

Another new loco for my collection.

Class 08 in BR green, pre-weathered.

It came with dapol easi couplers ready fitted.
Little bargain at £45.

How come I never find any bargains :(

That's a great price, especially with the easi shunts fitted. Have you run it past your platforms yet? :uneasy:

As @tutenkhamunsleeping had forced( :D) me to buy a Dapol Grange in their August specials I was hoping for a quiet runner. Silly me. This is after ½ an hour each way running in........

Have I got a lemon? It's hard for me to tell as virtually every Dapol loco I possess (and there are quite a few) are as noisy. I've lightly oiled the motion as per the instructions. Sadly said instructions don't tell you about the packing block placed (I think) between loco and tender which meant the first curve it came to it derailed. Not clever :unimpressed:

When it arrives I got a fab little 4472 flying Scotsman for £50 and ibe got my class 25 with dummy unit too coming in the next few days. Good little bargains
