and of course everyone asks ...

"What did you hit ?" :veryangry:

Yeah exactly, Mrs thought I was daft saying that, but it's true!

I bought a Dapol Brittania at Warley, was unable to test it there as we had to rush off for the train home and later found that it made all sorts of horrible noises and partially jammed every few seconds. I sent it to DCC Supplies, who checked it, stated it was unrepairable and sent a request to Dapol to replace it on 5th December. Nothing by Christmas and then I was away. Last week, once I was back, I chased it up and DCC Supplies sent a strongish email to Dapol, copying me in. Dapol replied that they would send a new one out after testing it. It arrived yesterday ... and suffers exactly the same problem :veryangry:

RailGooner

Shocking. :veryangry: I'm angry for you Steve.

The Aussies got the Ashes back.

Not sure I'm in the right thread here..... I actually go for Australia in sport, even though I'm still a British citizen. Could be something to do with me being here 40+ years and having daughters who are most definitely Aussies.

Just following on my from palm trees!  ;D :beers:

Just don't run for Parliament  :D

Kind regards

Geoff

Screwfix have dropped all own brand stainless screws below 40mm (pozi head)... >:(

They don't come up when you search for Stainless screws :veryangry:
They don't come up when you search for mm screws, which they've used for years.. :veryangry:

After getting the paper catalogue, you find they do the less than 40mm screws under the brand Easydrive..

Its probably because they are getting ready for when we leave the EU and return to Imperial measure instead of Metric. ;)

at least the road signs still say 'miles' ! as do the speed limits !!

often wondered why the euro crowd didn't demand they convert to those other foreign thingies :-:

for me, the sooner we get back to proper measurements, the better,

BUT, and this may be verging on the political,

when you've got a PM who one day is pro Europe, and the next in charge of Brexit, what real hope do we have.

nice to know our politicians actually have scruples, not I did NOT say morals !

Theres some weird laws surrounding weights and measures . Beer is still measured  in pints, but  shandy must be  measured in liters.

freedom of speech is but a  fallacy.it dosnt exist here
